BEST METHOD ON HOW TO FORMAT YOUR LAPTOP TO WINDOWS 10, 8, 7 WITH DISK OR USB FLASH DRIVE
1)
If you want to use a disc, turn on your computer and insert your
installation disc NOTE (if you want to use a USB flash drive turn off
your computer and plug in your USB flash drive.
2) Restart your computer.
3)immediately press f9 on your keyboard and a boot menu will appear
Note: am using Hp for this lesson check other manufacturers BIOS function key
4)select CD or USB flash drive.

5) press any key on your keyboard when prompted.
6) and a windows logo screen will appear.
7) On the installation page choose your language and other preferences and click "next"

8) click on "install now"

9)thick the box "I accept the license term" and click next.

10) from the next page, make sure you select the second option which is "custom: install windows only(advance)" and click next.

click the partition you want to format and click format(note this will
format all your data but if you Don't want to loose a single file.

If you have more than one partition and you want to get rid of them
simply select and delete each partition. Once you have deleted the
unwanted partitions, select the "UNALLOCATED SPACE" partition and
format.
13)Click next to begin your installation Follow all instructions to finish the installation of Windows 10, which includes setting up a user account and naming your PC.

How to install Linux from bootable USB flash drive
After downloading and making your Linux bootable drive, follow this simple steps to install the operating system.
➤Shutdown your computer.
➤Insert the bootable Linux USB flash drive and turn on your PC
➤Immediately press boot menu function key to launch the boot menu, from my computer, mine is F9 i.e. for HP computers. Check your own PC boot menu from the link PC Bios menu keys for all brands
➤Select your bootable device from the list and hit enter

➤your pc will reboot into Linux
➤click on “Install Linux”
