or website.

sometimes paste a sticker or print the data on the chassis on their laptops and
desktops.
In this free guide, I will walk you through the steps to see the model number
of your computer using simple command prompt or Windows powershell
whether or not it's from HP, DELL, LENOVO, ACER, TOSHIBA or from other makers.
There are several ways to check the model number of your computer and in this
guide I will walk you through the steps.
1) how to check the model of your PC using command prompt. This method works on
Windows 7/8/9/10/11
Steps:
➤Click on start menu and
type CMD, locate command prompt and open. irrespective of the version of
Windows you are using, Command prompt are the same.
➤If you are not familiar
with Windows command prompt below is a sample.
➤On the windows command prompt type the below command and hit
Enter.

Modern hard disk drives
are been manufactured with an inbuilt feature called
S-M-A-R-T
(Self-monitoring, Analysis, Reporting, Technology). This features allow you
check the health status. Although this feature is programmed to automatically
show us if our drives is faulty, but as a Computer user you are expected to
check our drives regularly and fix any errors with the drive.
If your hard disk drive
shows smart hardisk error before it boots, then don't bother to check the
health because that's a warning information that your drive is bad. Backup your
files and replace your drive.
To manually check for
your hard disk drive health using command prompt simply do this
➤Open command prompt(cmd)
by clicking the start menu and typing cmd.
➤Click command prompt as
it appears and input the text below
"Wmic diskdrive
get model,status" and press enter on you keyboard.
Your drive(s) will be
listed and the status will be shown as in the picture below
OK (this means the drive is well)
Pred failed (this means the drive is not health and
might fail soon).
FIX USB FLASH DRIVE SHOWING UNKNOWN CAPACITY AND WINDOWS WAS UNABLE TO
COMPLETE THE FORMAT
This error is caused by
corrupted files on the usb flash drive. I have provided solution to this
problem, read through.
➤Type or search for CMD
➤Right click and open
"command prompt in administrator mode"
➤Type the following
commands
Diskpart
List disk
All disk connected to your PC will be
listed, please take note of your "DISK NUMBER"
Type the following
commands
Select disk 2
create partition
primary
Active
Select partition 2
Format fs=fat32
➤Remove the usb flash
drive and connect it back to your PC
Using Windows key+E to
access file explorer, locate your usb flash drive
Right click and Format it
Finally, the problem is solved.
